A 15-story office building in Tribeca will be transformed into a residential building now that the owner has decided that this is a better route than renovating the offices.

Earlier last year, the owner, Norvin Properties, unveiled plans to renovate the office building at 250 Church Street, in the hopes to attract more tech tenants. It was originally designed by Gensler, and news has yet to be revealed if the designer for this new project will remain the same.

Recently, the owners of the Tribeca office tower filed plans to convert the home of offices into a 107-unit apartment building.

The tower will soon be home to residents as it gains another two floors, increasing the height to 231 feet from the existing 201 feet. This will give room for the building's amenities that includes a lounge, a gym, a children’s room, and more to be revealed.
