Plans for this 12-story residential building were filed back in 2014. Three years later and it is finally finished and sales have launched. Designed by the famous Robert A.M. Stern Architects, and developed by Related Companies, this LEED-certified building is the newest addition to Soho.
261 Hudson Street's 160 units range from studios to two-bedrooms, as well as a penthouse. Studio’s start at around $4,000 a month, one-bedrooms for $4,950 a month, $7,850 a month for a three-bedroom, and $9,600 per month for the penthouse. Also, 20 percent of the units are set aside for affordable housing.
Each unit is lined with Soho Oak wood, and flooded with light from the oversized windows. The kitchen includes Bosch appliances and imported Carrara marble countertops. Along with the private balconies, the building also has a rooftop lounge and grilling kitchen, a library, a fireplace, pet grooming facility, and a fitness room with Equinox equipment.
